Through its Primary Transport platform, Vector manages a fleet of approximately one hundred 28-ton refrigerated vehicles. These vehicles operate on a national footprint with bases in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. By owning the majority of loading and delivery points, Vector is able to maximize its fleet utilisation and drive down primary outbound supply chain costs for its clients. Vector’s major Primary Transport clients include Rainbow, McCain and I&J. Vector employs the latest integrated routing and tracking systems in its Central Logistics Planning Centre and vehicles, thus enabling accurate route management, delivery performance reporting and temperature monitoring, for cold chain integrity.
