Curious. Jovial. Empathetic.
How would you describe your day job to a child?
I make sure that people do what they said they would do and that we constantly improve the way we do things.
Why did you choose to be part of the Vector Logistics’ team?
I have a passion for logistics and supply chain management, and the culture has always been great.
What excites you about this role?
I am able to work with the EXCO team and basically every person in this organisation. I can challenge people to ensure the basics are done right and that we constantly improve what we do.
How would you describe a high-performance organisation?
An organisation that doesn’t rest on its laurels and continues to find ways to improve. We focus on our work without distraction, achieve our deliverables to the best of our abilities, communicate consistently, and hold each other accountable.
How do you keep yourself/your team motivated?
By knowing that there is a purpose in everything that we do and by continuously improving how we work. We take pride in our work, celebrate a job well done, and keep things light-hearted between serious moments.
Do you have a mentor/coach?
Everyone has the ability to teach me something, so I learn from everyone.

If you were the CEO for a day, what would you change or introduce?
Healthy meal options for everyone.

What is your most memorable facepalm (embarrassing) moment?
Getting lost in Costa Rica because I had the map upside down.
When was the last time you laughed so hard?
When Greg Saffy kept having an itch in his throat, but water wasn’t helping, and Albertina Mabjana from Polokwane found it hilarious - laughter was contagious.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Chocolate.
What is one thing people do not know about you?
I recently started trading stocks.
If you could invite one famous person (dead or alive) to dinner, who would it be and why?
Muhammad Ali - he was the greatest and would be very entertaining.
