About 20 years ago, I walked into Pick n Pay the day before payday. My daughters 4-year-old Mickayla and 7-year-old Maxine, prior to jumping out of the car I made the comment I’m broke as a joke. As we walked in, Maxine picked up a Barbie doll. Before I could even say anything, little Mickayla shouted, ‘Maxine! Put that doll down, Mummy is broke as a joke!’ There were people in the aisle who burst out laughing and honestly, so did I.
11. When was the last time you laughed so hard?
I just got back from an amazing holiday in Ballito with my family, honestly one of the most enjoyable vacations I’ve ever had. I laughed the hardest when the waves kept lifting me up and I was holding onto my husband, practically dragging him along with me. It was such a funny and joyful moment!
